ILMB Reboot ch3
So back in April I was really proud of this chapter and optimistic about the future of the comic, and in the middle of finishing ch4… when Tapas removed my comic for nudity/sexual content. The whole experience on that site was awful. I went in hopeful that I could use it as a place to make something more “legitimate” and try to tell a much more substantial story. I felt I did a good job, but every step of the way the Tapas moderators were getting in the way. They would make countless demands of censorship to the point that I felt I finally had a grasp on what WAS and WASN’T allowed. No butts, no cameltoes, no front mounds or genitals. Basically obscured nudity except breasts being allowed. But shortly after posting ch3 they came again and this time wouldn’t even make demands on things that needed censorship, instead removing my comic all together. Made worse because I posted ch1 to E Hentai with a link to Tapas to drum up more readers and it seemed to be doing well on E hentai… Till comments informed me the comic was nuked from the site. I checked and those comments were correct. This wouldn’t of been a ordeal if they were consistent with their moderation. They have an entire section of their site devoted to full on porn (even some without genital censorship and penetration) I made the comic with the thought that it would be included in that section but I didn’t learn till much later through the moderators that that is a closed off section of content from a partner and follows different rules than user submitted comics.
Long story short, After that banning and no hopes of appeal I was at a loss on what to do, my plans fell apart and it didn’t seem to be garnering much attention even when it was up. I tried putting it on a site called Fables but it only got like 20 views and that seemed a complete lost cause, so at that point I just gave up on it.
4 months later and it never sat right with me that it was left unfinished. I really am proud of it, and really want to tell a story that is more than just sex. So I am going to try bringing it back and just hosting it on my site as well as posting it on E hentai to try to increase its visibility. I’ve returned to working on ch4 and should have it done before the end of the month. Once the chapter is done I will post it here. I have also written an outline for ch5 and think people will really enjoy that chapter 🙂 though it likely won’t be ready till like Oct/Nov at earliest.
