Jordan and Bailey are both brought up in conservative/religious homes. This becomes a source of conflict particularly with Jordan as she is the one fighting her feelings.
Jordan is a fighter, literally. She fights her classmates, as well as does martial arts in her spare time. She is a stubborn girl,not one to give up. Even if it borders on denial. Unlike Jordan, Bailey is a meek girl. She isn’t one to fight, instead lets the winds take her wherever. As a victim of bullying she has since come to like it. The minor abuse has become a bit like BDSM for her and she doesn’t fear Jordan. Bravely she kisses her, even though showing affection can leave one very vulnerable. Bullies relish in exploiting people’s vulnerabilities. Is that what is happening here? Or is Jordan’s guard coming down?
You have a reasonable background for these characters. Strict upbringing tends to create all-or-nothing thinking, so when they fall they can fall hard. Only 4 pages in, and I’m already hooked.
glad to hear you like it. Yeah their family life will eventually play a part in the story, particularly with Jordan.
